Committee Charge
The RSBC will first study the feasibility of the repair, renovation, expansion, and/or replacement of the Colonel John Robinson Elementary School and then carry out such project if deemed necessary and appropriate by the Town and the MSBA.
The RSBC shall comply with MSBA regulations in generally monitoring the Application process and to advise the Town Manager, Select Board and School Committee. The RSBC will work with consultants to develop certain MSBA required plans for the project, will vote to authorize the OPM to submit those plans to the MSBA for approval, and shall take all actions as are necessary for the Town to comply with MSBA regulations.
The RBSC shall be the point of contact for all community groups for all issues regarding the project. The Committee shall ensure community engagement throughout the planning and execution of the feasibility study, final design and construction. It is the expectation that there will be multiple opportunities throughout the process to solicit community feedback
The RSBC shall provide quarterly updates of its activities to the Town Manager, Select Board and School Committee. Select Board and School Committee meeting agendas may also include verbal RSBC presentations.
