Westford residents now have a convenient option to purchase superior athletic wear and running gear with the grand opening of Marathon Sports in the Westford Valley Marketplace at 160 Littleton Road. 

Store Manager Dianna Chivakos said Westford has a large walking and running community, and the new store provides convenient access to popular brands of shoes, clothing, and accessories for local residents. 

The new location, the 25th store in the Marathon Sports franchise, is conveniently located off I-495 on Route 110 near Whole Foods Market. Featuring a sleek, modern design and a spacious layout, the store offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for shoppers, including a mural of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail that honors Westford’s extensive network of trails.  

All Marathon Sports locations offer the Right Fit™ process, where staff will survey a customer’s fitness and health goals, injury history, exercise frequency, and current athletic wear. They will also measure foot size and perform a gait analysis to help buyers select the perfect shoe for their activity and style. 

In addition to clothing and gear, Marathon Sports Westford hosts in-store events and a free weekly Running Group on Tuesdays at 6 pm for runners of all levels. Marathon Sports tracks your mileage and offers special Running Group discounts, members-only gear, and additional perks. Chivakos said the group helps connect local runners who share a similar passion. 

Anita Tonakarn-Nguyen, representing the office of MA State Rep. James Arciero, attended the grand opening in January 2025, as well as representatives from the Town of Westford Economic Development Committee.
