NEW Seasons and NEW Programs at Westford Parks & Recreation 

The Westford Parks & Recreation Fall-Winter 2017-2018 Brochure has arrived. Find the brochure online at westfordrec.com, and in your mailbox later this month (Westford residents only).

Edwards Beach and Forge Beach Hours and Activities

Season:     June 18-August 25
Hours:      Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

August 18 is the last Friday Movie Night at the Beach (Forge Beach).  A contemporary family friendly movie will start at dusk. No food or drink may be brought in for the movie, but the concession stand will be open. Bring a blanket, chair, and bug spray.

Come join in on the fun at the End of Summer BBQ, Saturday, August 19, at Edwards Beach from 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Enjoy games, BBQ, ceramics, sand art, bubble fun, tie dye, water games, watermelon eating contest, pie throwing ($1/plate), and more. Learn more about the 2017-2018 WPC After School Enrichment Program while at this event.

Enjoy Fun at the Beach days – a Parks & Recreation summer long offering that provides daily activities from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., like tie dye, sand art, and fun with bubbles. This program runs weekdays now through August 25. (Schedule information below.)

Summer Beach Party Weeks at Edwards Beach 

It's a Beach Party. What better way to start and finish a sun-filled summer in Westford.
Ages 4-14, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Week 2: August 14-18
Week 3: August 21-25

Parks & Recreation is offering two more weeks of Summer Beach Party – a program that covers one week at the beginning of summer vacation, and two weeks at the end of summer vacation (half-day, full-day, full-week, early arrival, and extended day options). Come enjoy games, swimming, fishing, beach volleyball, candy bar bingo, arts and crafts, and full access to the Ronan McElligott Playground. A daily lunch will be provided that includes a beverage, chips and your choice of such meals as hot dogs, grilled cheese, and mac and cheese. Don't forget our pizza beach party on Fridays.

Westford Partnership for Children (WPC) After School Enrichment Program 

The first day of school is right around the corner. The WPC After School Enrichment Program Session 1 (August 29-October 27, 2017) Registration Forms can be found at 22 Town Farm Road, or visit Register>Programs>About WPC on westfordrec.com. 

This year, WPC will be offering a variety of unique activities, such as Intro to STEM with LEGO ®, American Sign Language, Empow: Video Game Design, Tennis with Marcus Lewis, No-Bake Cooking, and more.

Westford Parks & Recreation After School Enrichment Program for K-8, provides a safe, stimulating, and fun environment Monday through Friday, from school dismissal until 5:45 p.m. WPC has proudly served eight Westford Public Schools for over ten years. Westford Community Rowing (WCR):

The WCR Junior and Masters Competitive Teams made great strides this summer advancing their rowing skills and techniques under the leadership of Coach Kasey Lumbard and Coach Mikey Sevick. WCR is now gearing up for the fall racing season with several programs that include 8th Grade Rowing, Junior Competitive Team, Adult Learn to Row, Masters Morning Competitive Team, and Masters Evening Competitive Team. Westford Community Rowing (WCR) offers programming for middle school, high school, and adult athletes from all athletic backgrounds and experience levels. Save The Date - Town Hall Trail Day

Sept 12 is Town Hall Trail Day at the Farmers Market. Come enjoy the Town Hall Trail (Rated EASY, 15 minutes, no strollers, no flip flops). To join in, gather at the bandstand on Westford Common every hour starting at 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00 p.m. A member from one of the partnering organizations will lead the walk every hour. (Rain date: Tuesday, Sept 19.)
