Council on Aging Respite Care Program
Do you know someone who is in need of care and companionship? If so, you may want to explore the services offered to residents of Westford and Chelmsford through the Chelmsford Council on Aging. Call the Respite Care Director at 978- 251-8491.

Since its establishment in 1979, the Respite Care Program has offered support services enabling elders to remain in their homes.

Always caring and compassionate, the Respite Care Program offers:

  • Companionship and supervisory care for the elderly family member
  • Preparation of light meals or snack
  • Conversation, reading, writing, playing cards, etc.
  • Assistance and Support (though no personal care or lifting)
  • To contact emergency services if needed
