NOTICE: Bruce Freeman Rail Trail Phase 2A Included in MPO Recommendation for FY14 TIP
The Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) has recommended the extension of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail through Acton (Phase 2A) as part of the Transportation Improvement Program for Fiscal Year 2014.  If this recommendation becomes final, it is expected to result in construction of Phase 2A at least seven years earlier than had been previously anticipated.

The public comment period for this proposed acceleration in the schedule for the second phase of the BFRT ends on May 31, 2012.  If you are interested in submitting comments, please use the link below before May 31, 2012.

Bruce Freeman Rail Trail Parking Community Meeting 2/29/2012
The town held a community meeting on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 7pm, in the Stony Brook Middle School auditorium to provide information on the Rail Trail in preparation for Annual Town Meeting, which has several citizen petition articles related to the Rail Trail.
